There are strict regulations for the transport of passengers in Switzerland:

  • icon-right Limousines that are used in the country must undergo customs inspections.
  • icon-right Limousines that are used to professionally transport passengers must either have a tachograph installed, or have permission to be freed of this requirement by the Federal Roads Office.
  • icon-right The Chauffeurs must observe regulations regarding “drivers’ working hours” (also known as “hours of service”).

The Swiss police intermittently checks that these regulations are being observed. If they find a violation, it is possible that the Chauffeur and guest(s) will be barred from continuing their journey.

TOP-ALLIANCE assures that all regulations are observed and that there is extensive insurance coverage in place. We hope that your company is also of the opinion that it is important to observe the legal requirements and provide the best possible insurance protection for employees. For this year we have once again received all necessary permits.

For your safety we recommend (especially as offers from foreign countries are concerned) that you at least apply to receive permits from the relevant sections of the Swiss government (Customs and Federal Roads Office).
